Permissions

This dialog box appears when you use Azure Information Protection and apply a label with custom permissions enabled.

  • Users: The list contains at least one user, the document owner. Click Add to start the User Rights Settings dialog box, where you can add new users by email or selecting Outlook contacts.
  • Rights: Permit or revoke rights to the selected user by selecting or clearing the pertaining setting:
    • Owner
    • View
    • Printing
    • Modifying Document
    • Content Copying or Extraction
  • Document will expire on: Select this setting to enable the date and time controls on the right and set an expiration date for the document.
  • Allow offline access: Select this setting to let the users use the document without an internet connection.
  • User Can Request Additional Permissions from: Select this setting to enable users to send an automatic email request for missing permissions to the specified address. This box is selected by default and contains the email address of the document owner.
