Roles

Use Roles to set and adjust the specific roles for each user, including access, editing abilities, default Views, themes and styling, and functionality.

  • Administrator role: This role includes all rights for all the Insight project documents (objects) and also for newly created projects and documents

  • User role: The administrator explicitly assigns different rights to this role. It is performed at the stage of creating a new project.

  • Default role: This is a special role that contains the default View and Markers settings. Users cannot be assigned with this role. If Insight is configured to be accessed without any authentication, the users access the default View and Markers as specified by this role when the Viewer is launched.

User rights are determined by the role or roles that they belong to. Each user must belong to a role to access the Viewer or other Insight applications. The only exception can be made when no authentication is set for all the Insight applications.
