Calendars

Use the Calendars functionality to customize the format for work days and times, which allows for accurate time tracking for your organization.

For example, you may track your working hours from 10 AM to 6 PM from Monday to Friday and exclude weekends. In this case, if the order is received at noon on Friday and processed at noon on Monday, that means the processing time is 8 hours, and not 36 hours. This feature provides for a better visualization of your business processes hiding non-business intervals from charts.

In Insight, you can use this feature for three cases:

  • Calculate working days in a certain time interval

  • Show only working days (or hours) in charts broken down by time

  • Generate reports and start execution plans within the predefined time interval

A calendar defines business hours for any given day.

  1. Main schedule: Start and end time for each day of the week

    Example

    S: 10AM - 2PM, M: 9AM - 5PM, T: 9AM - 5PM, W: 9AM - 5PM, T: 9AM - 5PM, F: 9AM - 5PM, S: 10AM - 3PM

  2. Exceptions

    Examples

    1/1/2016 - Closed

    5/27/2016 - Closed

    7/3/2016 - 9AM - 12PM

    7/4/2016 - Closed

    12/25/2016 - Closed

  3. Temp schedule: List of temporary schedule overwrites. Each item in the list is a separate schedule, such as, #1 plus Start and End date.
