Creating a new profile

  1. In the Navigation panel, click Device Profiles.

    The Device Profiles list appears.

  2. Click Create.

    The General tab appears.

  3. Enter a unique name for the profile. The Name is required and must be unique.
  4. Enter an optional description.
  5. Select Logon to enable a log on button for all MFPs associated with this profile.
    Note The Kofax Licensing option only applies to a custom client using specific Web services. If you are creating a custom client, see the Kofax Front Office Server Web Services Connector SDK Developer's Guide for details
  6. Select Default to apply the profile to any devices that are not associated with a profile. Only one profile can be the default. If a profile has been set as the default and Default is selected in another profile, the default setting is removed from the original profile. Devices retrieve an associated or default profile when they are added and each time a time the device connects to Kofax Front Office Server.
  7. Click Save.
