Separation and classification online learning and training documents

If your project is configured to use document separation and classification online learning, documents are flagged when they are manually separated, restructured, or reclassified during production. Documents can also be flagged via script.

What happens with the dynamic classifiers depends if the project is configured to make use of them. These are the possibilities:

  1. If the Use Classification Online Learning/Use Document Separation & Classification Online Learning setting is not enabled then the dynamic classifier is not created and cannot be used by the Server.

    Flagged documents are added to the New Samples document set so that you can import them into Transformation Designer. The only case where the training information is used is when the project is published after it is trained using the new training information.

  2. You can use training data directly during production to enhance document separation and classification.

    The Use dynamic classifiers during classification/Use dynamic classifiers during document separation and classification setting is selected the in Advanced Online Learning Options window and the training documents are managed by the Kofax TotalAgility system task.

    In this use case, the system task creates the dynamic classifiers and collects documents for the New Samples. Transformation Server makes use of the dynamic classifiers during document separation and classification.
