Status Lookups settings

Status Lookup settings control which system problem states trigger email messages to the MarkView administrators and provide early alerts of potential problems. Edit the default queries to control the email notifications, or create new queries.

Edit a query

  1. Log in to MarkView and navigate to Administration > MarkView Module Admin.
  2. Select Status Lookups.
  3. Locate the line containing the item to change and click Update.
  4. Enable or disable email notifications for this status:
    • Set Enabled to Y to have the system send e-mail notifications for this status when the value is greater than the limit. Continue at step 5.

    • Set Enabled to N to disable all notifications for this status. If you disable notifications, the system ignores all other settings for this status. Continue at step 7.

  5. In the Limit Default field, enter the number of status triggers required for the system to send an email notification.
  6. Configure Hourly Notification. Select Y to provide hourly notification of status updates. Select N to disable hourly notifications.
  7. Click Update again to save the edits.

Create a query

  1. Log in to MarkView and navigate to Administration > MarkView Module Admin.
  2. Select Status Lookups.
  3. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and click Insert.
  4. Complete the form and click Insert again.
    • Name: Enter a query name.

    • Query: Enter a valid SQL query.

    • Limit Default: Enter the number of status triggers required for the system to send an email notification.

    • Enabled: Select Y to have the system send e-mail notifications for this status when the value is greater than the limit or select N to disable notifications.

    • Hourly Notification: Select Y to provide hourly notification of status updates. Select N to disable hourly notifications.

    • Type: Select either Number or Date.

    • Description: Enter an informational description of this query.

  5. Click Save save the edits.

Delete a query

  1. Log in to MarkView and navigate to Administration > MarkView Module Admin.
  2. Select Status Lookups.
  3. Locate the line containing the item to remove and click Delete.
  4. Click Delete again to confirm.
