Print Queues

Only MarkView versions earlier than 5.5 use the print server and print queue. For version 5.5 and later, the MarkView Export Server handles print requests.

If you use the print service solution, print queues handle requests to print MarkView documents and the print server handles the print requests.

If you are using a later version of MarkView, print queues are mapped to an export queue and an export server handles the request.

Add a print queue

You cannot change a queue name once it is saved.

  1. Select the Print Queues tab and click Add.
  2. Enter a Queue Name and Description.
  3. Click Save.

Modify a print queue

  1. Select the Print Queues tab and click Details next to the print queue to change.
  2. Continue as follows:

    • To change the print queue description, modify the field as needed, and click Save.

    • To remove the print queue, click Delete.

Assign a server

  1. Select the Print Queues tab and click Details next to the print queue for which to assign a server.
  2. Select the Queue Assignments tab and click Add.
  3. Click Select Print Server and select a server from the LOV.
  4. Enter a Printer Name.
  5. Enter a priority for the queue assignment.
  6. Click Select Export Queue and select a queue from the LOV.
  7. Click Save.

Modify a server assignment

  1. Click Details next to the queue assignment to change.
  2. Continue as follows:

    • To change the server assignment, modify the fields as needed, and click Save.

    • To remove the server assignment, click Delete.
