Print Server is no longer part of a standard installation. MarkView Export Server now handles print requests. Customers who have versions of MarkView that are earlier than 5.5 can continue to use the print server (v 4.8) to handle print requests.

A print request is created when a user sends a document to a printer. A print request appears in the print requests list, where it is categorized as a Print request or an Export request. The print server handles the print requests and the export server handles export requests.

• The Request Type is either Print or Export to denote whether the print server or the export server is handling the request.

• The Doc ID, Start Page, and End Page do not appear for the Export type.

• Print requests are read-only; you cannot add or edit them.
