Start Developer Tools

When using Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) sessions in Design Studio, use this menu option to access Chrome DevTools.

This option appears only if a robot is open in a CEF application tab. This option has no icon and is omitted in the context menus for other applications. The Start Developer Tools option appears in the context menu of an active CEF tab window.

This option opens the Chrome DevTools in a separate window above or below Design Studio. This behavior is due to Windows security limitations and is not a feature of the RPA product.

  • If a window is already open, nothing happens.

  • To open multiple development tools, activate multiple CEF tabs and select the Start Developer Tools option from each.

  • When you close a CEF tab, the corresponding development tool window closes.
