Changes in behavior

This topic describes behavior that is changed in Kofax RPA 11.3.0, including:

Management Console no longer supports WebSphere

Starting with Kofax RPA 11.3.0, Management Console does not support WebSphere.

Chromium browser no longer supports FTP

The built-in Chromium browser does not support the File Transfer Protocol (FTP).

For more information, see Access Websites in the Kofax RPA Help.

JMS support discontinued

The Java Message Service (JMS) is no longer supported by Kofax RPA.

IBM DB2 no longer supported

IBM DB2 is not supported as a Management Console database.

Licenses for versions below 10.3.0 no longer valid

Licenses for product versions below 10.3.0 are no longer valid.

Verify HTTPS Certificates option removed

The Verify HTTPS Certificates option is removed from the Design Studio Settings and the RoboServer Settings application. Robots based on the Classic and WebKit engines now rely on the Verify SSL Certificates option available in the Configure Robot > Basic > Default Options dialog box. If the option overrides the default state on a step level, the behavior is not changed for this step.

By default, this option is selected for all existing and newly created robots, and we recommend that you keep it selected at all times as a safeguard to prevent data leaks or robot performance issues.

For more information, see Default Options in Basic Engine Robot Configuration in the Kofax RPA Help.

Recommended Closeness parameter value changed

The recommended value of the Closeness parameter in the Fuzzy Image Search changed from 0 to 100.

For more information, see Finders in the Kofax RPA Help.

Previous finders cleared in loop steps

Starting with Kofax RPA 11.3.0, all previous finders are cleared at the start of a loop step body. If your Robot containing loop steps is created with an earlier version of the product, we recommend that you replace any previous finders with named finders.

Display format of date changed in Management Console

Starting with this release, the display format of dates that appear in all Management Console tables, except the "Log view," depends on the language that the Management Console is set to. When set to English, the browser language settings are used to determine the dialect of English. For example, if "English (United Kingdom)" appears at the top of the languages list, the date is formatted according to the British English standard date format. If no preference is found in the browser settings, English (United States) is used by default.

Click step revisions

The previous version of the Click step is renamed to Press Mouse. The new Click step moves a mouse pointer to the necessary location and clicks in one step. For drag-and-drop operations, use the Press Mouse and Move Mouse steps.

For more information, see Click and Press Mouse in the Kofax RPA Help.
