Use the Remove White Margins option, for instance to trim presentation slides converted to PDF. Choose to crop the current page, selected pages or the whole document.

Cropping can also be chosen from the Options drop-down list in the Pages panel. In this case the dialog box appears directly; draw the crop rectangle in the page display and make other choices as described.

If you want to keep the original file, save it then save it as a renamed file and perform the cropping there.

  1. Select Rotate from a shortcut menu or from the Options drop-down list in the Pages panel to open the Rotate Pages dialog box.

  2. Select a Rotate Angle (90 degrees clockwise or counter-clockwise, or 180 degrees) and a page range.

  3. This rotation becomes permanent when you save the document.

Note

This command is different from View > Page View > Rotate View > Clockwise or Counterclockwise which only temporarily displays a rotated page.

You can rotate objects on a PDF page by 45 degree steps using a shortcut menu, or perform free rotation with the object handle. See Edit Object Tool.

extract pages icon

  1. Select Extract from a shortcut menu or from the Options drop-down list in the Pages panel to open the Extract Pages dialog box.

  2. Select which page or page range to extract. You can choose from Current Page, Range or Selected.
To extract selected pages, select the required page thumbnails in the Pages panel before opening this dialog box.

  3. Optionally, select Delete After Extraction, if you do not need these extracted pages in your original document any more. They will be deleted from the document.

Notes

You may not be able to extract pages from a protected PDF file. Select Security > Security > Manage Security and choose Modify from the drop-down list to see the security settings of the current document.

You can also extract pages using Home > Tools > Split. That lets you define pages to be extracted not only by page range, but also by a text search, by a bookmark or a bookmark level.

Notes

If you insert pages into a PDF already containing Bates stamping, it is not applied to the new pages. If you delete pages, the Bates stamping will no longer be consecutive. Be careful not to remove Bates stamps when cropping pages.

document assembly icon

Page and editing operations can also be performed by choosing Document Assembly at Home > Pages - inside one document or involving multiple documents. The Pages panel displays pages as thumbnails (miniature static images) but Document Assembly view displays a number of real pages at a smaller size so that a wider range of editing is possible.
