Add an E-mail

You can easily send an email from within a workflow solution.

  1. Click below the Start node.

    The Add activity dialog box is displayed.

  2. On the Type list, select E-mail. (Default: Task)

    If SMTP server is not configured, a message appears stating "The E-mail node cannot be used as an SMTP server has not been configured. Please contact the administrator". If yes proceed the following configuration.

  3. By default, e-mail appears as the Title. You can change the title as needed.
  4. In the To field, enter an inline value or select a variable.
  5. In the Subject and Body fields, enter a combination of plain text and variables.
  6. Click Add.

    The e-mail is added and the properties are updated and displayed in the properties panel.
