Edit Signature

In this dialog, the scanned signature can be edited.

The signatures can be enlarged or reduced with the zoom functions described in the chapter Scan Signature.

The signature can be edited with the Draw / Erase (ALT+Z) function. The mouse then becomes like a pen: You can draw by pressing the left button, and erase by pressing the right one. This can be done with a round or square pen in various thicknesses. You make these settings in the Pen option group.

Note Manually added pixels are only transferred when they are added in spots where the scanned original has pixels.

To delete an area, use the Delete area (ALT+L) or Delete polygon (ALT+P) buttons in the Function option group, and pull the mouse pointer across the work area to select the area for deletion. When you release the mouse, the area is deleted. When marking with a polygon, you must press the right mouse button to delete.

With the Cut function (ALT+A), the area to be transferred can be marked. Click on the 'Cut' button and pull the mouse pointer across the work area to mark the area. After you release the mouse pointer, only the marked area remains on the work area.

With the Restore function (ALT+W), the default allows reversal up to five changes to be reversed. The number of changes can be set in the scan.properties file.

To clean the signatures of disturbing pixels, you push the Auto Clean control to the right. The automatic cleaning function marks the areas that are to be deleted. You should ensure that no parts of the signature are marked. When you click on the Clean button, the marked areas are deleted.

The Lines button automatically removes lines.

If you click on the Original button, the original, unedited area is shown in a small, yellow window.

If you click on the Scan button, you reach the Scan Signature screen.
