Timeout configuration

You can configure a timeout on the device or server, depending on your authentication setting in DRS:

• When authentication is on, the session closes at either the session or device timeout.

• When authentication is off, only the DWS session timeout is used. When the session timeout occurs, the session is closed, and the user is redirected to the home screen.

At timeout, the user's session ends. The user is logged out and returns to the device Home or Logon screen. If the user had started a job before the session ends. The job continues until completion. The job is removed from the user's job list. If the user needs to cancel a job after the session ended, the user would have to go to the job application on the Xerox device to cancel it.
