- Among other improvements in this hotfix, document tracking and activity tracking has been improved to handle large amounts of logs. Note, however, that you must push the Retrieve items button in order to view the logs. Previously, the logs were refreshed automatically.
- An issue has been resolved that caused ongoing documents to be sent through RSB again if the RSB Windows service was restarted when using INVOICES with RSB.
- A problem was fixed that prevented the RSB INVOICES plug-in from connecting to a document service when adding a new invoice profile.
- Deleting old logs no longer causes a timeout.

- The XML Email Input adapter supports sending images to RSB and target
systems.
- The SAP adapter has been improved, so the original XML can be archived
for your reference.

- Rescan functionality has been added to the INVOICE COCKPIT adapter
(PROCESS DIRECTOR AP).
- The SharePoint adapter has been improved to correctly handle document
list names that differ from the URL (TFS 553).
- The Master data consumer has been fixed so it ignores suppliers with no

- If you use RSB to connect INVOICES with PROCESS DIRECTOR, and your

- There is a new target adapter for sending files to a FileNet system.

- PROCESS DIRECTOR AP amount field handling has been improved with a new
setting, Set empty amount fields to zero, which sets the
value of empty amount fields to zero in order to comply with PD
requirements.

- Open Text and SAP adapters support the SAP message server.

RsbSqlTimeout, which lets you to set the time-out value (in
seconds) for SQL Server operations.
- The SAP adapter has been fixed so it reconnects properly after losing a
connection.

- In previous versions of RSB, internal messages were limited to 2 MB,
which meant that XML invoices were also limited to 2 MB in size. Now the
default limit is 50 MB, but even that can be changed using the
RsbOperationSize setting in RSBConfig.xml.
This is beneficial, for example, if you embed image data in the XML invoice
and need to increase the size of data that is allowed. Note that
RsbOperationSize is specified in bytes.

- RSB supports validation for tables (line-item, bank account, and VAT)
and buyers. RSB validation override INVOICES validation for tables and
buyers.
- Master-data import has been updated to comply with INVOICES 5-6 R1.
- The RSB plug-in for INVOICES has been improved. If you create a
user-defined variable, RSBInvoiceImageFilePath, which
specifies the location of the invoice image, the RSB plug-in for INVOICES
uses the path specified instead of creating a multi-TIFF.
- The file-target adapter has been fixed so it can handle cases where
there are no image attachments.
- The DOCUMENTS plug-in has been updated so the file name is taken from
XML if it is not provided by the API.

- Dynamic properties are now supported.
- Advanced users who create adapters can create target adapters with
custom attachments. An attachment target adapter can return a
custom document attachment which is usable in subsequent adapters in the

- Several improvements have been made to the user interface. Most
notable are status icons in the tree-view which indicate whether a service
is active or not.
- Adapters now support asynchronous target activities.
- Powerful validation settings have been added to the RSB plugin for
INVOICES.
- The performance and speed of the Activity tracking list has been greatly
improved.
- A time-out setting has been added to RSBConfig.xml, which determines the
amount of time to wait for internal events in RSB.
- You can specify which IP addresses have access to RSB using the
IPFilterAllowedAddresses setting in RSBConfig.xml.
- The SharePoint adapter supports SharePoint 365.
- The file-target adapter has been improved.
- There is a new adapter for Crossgate and a Crossgate to PROCESS DIRECTOR
Connector.
- The IIS portion of the RSB installation has been improved.
- All of the installation packages related to RSB have been created using
NSIS. Among other benefits, the new installation packages install faster.
- Service extension properties can now be viewed when a service is active.
- The SQL scripts used for database creation during the installation are
available as external files for customers with specific security
requirements.
- Port issues for SAP simulators have been resolved (TFS 6751).
- The send-feedback function in SDK documentation has been corrected (TFS
7314).
- It is no longer possible to call an inactive data service (TFS 7556).
- Improvements have been made to the core installation, regarding
.NET Framework version checking (TFS 7660).
- The INVOICES simulator has been fixed so it uses the correct file
formats (TFS 7711).
- When installing multiple adapters from the main RSB installation, they
are now installed in the location you specify (TFS 7714).
- The ReadSoft Capture Simulator now uninstalls properly (TFS 7715).
- The RSB INVOICES plugin now uninstalls properly (TFS 7716).
- The RSB INVOICES simulator now uninstalls properly (TFS 7717).
- The RSB SAP simulator now uninstalls properly (TFS 7718).
- Several issues with the main RSB installation have been resolved (TFS
7720, 7721, 7722).
- Some error message were improved for better usability (TFS 7713, 7723).
- Data services can no longer be activated without mapping (TFS 7724).
- A false data-service warning was fixed (TFS 7725).
- Activity tracking for data services has been improved to include more
positive information. In previous versions, tracking data was only logged
when something went wrong; now positive data is logged as well, so you can
confirm that everything is working properly. Other improvements were made to
the object ID information displayed in the activity tracking (TFS
7726, 5023).
- An issue with the data services dialog in the INVOICES Verify module was
resolved (TFS 7727).
- A problem with format errors in INVOICES Verify was fixed (TFS 7728).
- An issue with activity-log paging has been fixed.

- RSB has been fixed to ensure that all pages make it to the target system
when sending multi-page documents (as multi-TIFF files) from FORMS to a
target system.

- In previous versions of RSB, internal messages were limited to 2 MB,

- When an error is returned to the INVOICES plug-in, the status is
not changed to Rejected. Instead,
the status remains the same as it was before the transfer attempt.
- There is a new setting to the INVOICES plug-in configuration (RSBPluginConfiguration.xml,
which is located in the INVOICES global path). The setting,
SaveMultiTiffInTemp, determines whether the temporary multi-TIFF
file that the plug-in creates is saved in a temp folder. The temp folder
location is determined by the Windows environment variable for temp folders.
You must close all INVOICES modules before changing
SaveMultiTiffInTemp.

Bug fixes
- Now you can view settings in Map Designer in read-only mode without
deactivating the document-routing service.
- An issue was fixed that prevented RSB from processing certain characters
such as question marks.
- The installation program will stop if it fails to start the RSB service.
This prevents subsequent failures of adapter installation, for example,
later in the installation.
- A progress bar and better error messages have been added to the Settings view to provide the user with better information when
saving settings. Other small UI fixes were also implemented.
- Mapping schemas are now included in site export.
- The Test tab (Map Designer) is now available when the XSLT transform tab is selected.
- Map Designer has been improved for stability and a number of
unpredictable errors have been resolved.
- The XML that is sent to RSB is now almost exactly like INVOICES XML,
which makes testing easier among other things.
- A warning is displayed if the user tries to map from a table to a header
field.
- Logging has been improved for errors that occur with RSB database setup.
- Problems that occurred when importing a site from RSB 2-2 to RSB 2-3
have been fixed.

- Adapter compatibility. To avoid compatibility issues during the installation, there
is an mechanism that checks if there are any adapters that require an upgrade. It
is also possible to run old adapters on new versions of RSB.
Known issues
- When using master-data services, RSB does not support systems that use
Oracle databases.
- When upgrading to RSB 2-3, you must upgrade your adapters.
- If you use custom XSLT (XSL transform tab in Map
Designer) with the INVOICE COCKPIT adapter, you must click Update
target schema before you close Map Designer. Failure to do so will
cause errors during production.
- You must run the SAP simulator as an administrator.
- Export of sites, logs or databases may fail on Windows Server 2008
R2 because of a write-permission error. To export in such cases, use the
stand-alone RSB Administration instead of the web-hosted RSB (IIS) on the
computer where RSB is installed.
Data service validations for INVOICES
- Validation only occurs when you change a field value in Verify.
Validation does not occur in Interpret or when you click OK
in Verify.
- The INVOICES plug-in does not automatically register as a plug-in in
Verify and Interpret, so you must to add it to EILOCAL.INI manually in order
to utilize this functionality.
