If ReadSoft Invoices crashes, an error report is generated. It contains a crash dump consisting of a crash report, information about which files and versions were run, and the INI files that were in use. This information is vital if you contact ReadSoft Support.

You are prompted to save a ZIP file containing the crash dump. When you do, it is saved to the Log directory. The file name is dump_module_yyyy-mm-dd_HHMMSS.hhh.zip, where yyyy = year, mm = month, dd = day, HH = hour, MM = minute, SS = second, and hh = hundredths of a second.

The crash dump can be switched off by setting EnableCrashReport flag to 0.

Valid values – Invoices 5-5 SP3 and earlier

  • 0: No crash report is generated.
  • 1: Crash reports are generated – default.

Valid values – Invoices 5-5 SP4 and later (including 5-6)

  • 0: No crash report is generated.
  • 1: Crash reports are generated, and dialogs are displayed when the module is running interactively (that is, when the module is running normally, or when it is running as Windows service set to “interactive”).
  • 2: Crash reports are generated, but no dialogs are displayed.
