WhiteFollow

Description

This flag enables the "White level follow" function on scanners that offer this feature (such as some Fujitsu and Panasonic scanners).

  • When WhiteFollow is set to 1 (enabled), the "White level follow" function is activated. The scanner always looks at the first 3 mm of a scanned page to determine what the white level is for the rest of the document. Data that is darker than this level is considered to be image data, and lighter data is considered to be background.
  • When WhiteFollow is set to 0 (Auto), the "White level follow" function is automatically turned on for black & white scans. For halftone or grayscale scans, it automatically turns off.

Valid values

  • 0 = Auto (automatically sets WhiteFollow to On for black & white scans, otherwise Off)
  • 1 = On
  • 2 = Off (default)
