UseMiniDriver

Description

This setting enables the Auto crop option (if available) in the Advanced scanner settings dialog. Auto crop allows for auto cropping on scanners capable of it.

When Auto crop is selected, the scanner crops the scanned image down to the physical dimensions of the actual page that was scanned.

Note

  • For Canon models DR-3060 and DR-3080C, we recommend setting UseMiniDriver, CanonAutoCropMethod and ByteAlignment to 1. Then select Crop and Deskew in the ISIS scanner settings dialog to get cropping and deskewing to work.
  • For Canon models DR-6080 and DR-9080C, we recommend setting UseMiniDriver, CanonAutoCropMethod and ByteAlignment to 1. Then select Crop and deselect  Deskew in the ISIS scanner settings dialog to get cropping and deskewing to work.
  • Even if auto cropping is not used, we recommend selecting Auto deskew in the dialog whenever possible.
  • With Fujitsu 4099 scanners, set this flag to 1 in combination with PageLengthDetect to scan long pages, automatically detecting the end of each page and cropping the length of the image accordingly.
  • With Fujitsu models fi-5650C, fi-5750C, and fi-7180, you must set UseMiniDriver to 1 to use auto cropping.
    Important
    Read more details in ByteAlignment.
  • If ByteAlignment is set to 1, then UseMiniDriver must also be set to 1.
