BarcodeExt

Description

Set this flag to 1 to enable Softek’s barcode reader (when scanning invoices) on barcodes specified as Code 39, EAN 13, EAN 8, UPCA, Codabar or Code 128. That barcode reader offers better results on those barcodes than the program's internal barcode reader.

Also use this setting when you want to interpret more than one barcode per invoice page, because ReadSoft Invoices' barcode reader does not support this. You can get all interpreted barcode values using the API (use the BarcodeInterpreted event).

Important notes

  • Softek is not used if you select <All> when specifying the barcode type in Manager. This is because the Softek reader cannot recognize BPO4 and US Postnet barcodes. To use Softek, you  must specify which type of barcode is expected.
  • This setting does not apply to Interleaved barcode types. To use Softek for these barcodes, use BarcodeExtInterleaved.
  • Use SoftekSkewTolerance to configure how much skewing the Softek barcode reader should tolerate.
