To set preferences for Text to Speech, choose File > Options > Read Aloud.
Tip: To add a language in Windows 10, visit Settings > Time & Language > Region & Language and click +Add a language.
Language: Select a text-to-speech language for the TTS engine.
Voice: Select a male or female voice to speak the text.
Volume: Set the volume for text reading.
Rate: Set the reading speed.
Use tags for reading out if document is tagged: If selected, then text-to-speech engine relies on the tags of PDF objects. Clear this to ignore tags and rely on content alone. See Reading_order_by_tag_structure for details on tag reading.
