The settings in the Conversion Settings dialog box take effect when conversion is started from the Microsoft Word Open dialog box or from the Kofax ribbon. You can either select a processing mode for direct conversion in advance, or decide to use the Convert Assistant.
To display the PDF Converter Settings dialog box from Microsoft Word
Click the Conversion Settings button in the Convert to Word group of the Kofax PDF ribbon
To define a processing mode for direct conversion in advance
Display the Conversion Settings dialog box from Microsoft Word.
Select one of the following options then click OK:
Automatically Convert as Standard Documents
Automatically Convert as Forms
Automatically Convert as Legals
To use Convert Assistant from Microsoft Word
Display the Conversion Settings dialog box from Microsoft Word.
Select Use Kofax Convert Assistant then click OK.
Note
When direct conversions are done from Microsoft Outlook, the processing mode and target are defined in the Settings dialog box. Direct conversions are offered in Windows Explorer through items in the shortcut menu of PDF or XPS files.
