The attachments are always archived in their original format either in separate files or attached to the PDF file created from the associated mail item. For both cases, the message header at the top of the PDF contains hyperlinks or paperclip buttons leading to the attachments.
The Settings dialog box serves for selecting settings for handling mail attachments. You can choose to have each one transferred
As PDF Link or
As PDF Attachment
The As PDF Link option is not available, when mails are archived to a package. To see this choice you must select 'Merge mails into one PDF file' or 'Archive mails separately' under Archive method.
