Modeling bar

The modeling bar of form designer includes items that help in designing a form.

File

Use this tab to perform the following commands:

  • Info: Displays the basic information for the process:

    • Last modified by: The resource who last modified the form.

    • Last modified date: Date the form was last modified.

    • Status: Status of the form such as New, Saved or Released.

    • Version: The version of the current form. A saved form displays the minor version, such as 0.1 and a released form displays the major version, such as 1.0.

  • Associations: Provides visibility of where the form is being used in a current form or which forms are using the current form. See View associations in a form.

  • Export: Lets you select the export options for this form. See Export a form.

  • Version history: Lets you view the version history of a form. You can also open a version of a form if you have the required access permissions.

  • Save: Saves form changes and creates a minor version of the form, such as Get Customer Details v0.01. You can also save the form from the modeling bar.

  • Release: Releases the form, and creates a major version of the map, such as Get Customer Details v1.0. You can only use a released form in production. You can also release the form from the modeling bar.

  • Close: Closes the form without saving it. You can also close the form from the modeling bar.

  • Close and unlock: Whenever an item is released, it is locked by default. Use this option to automatically unlock an item. You can also close and unlock the form from the modeling bar.

  • Remove phone form: Removes the phone version of the form.

  • Remove tablet form: Removes the tablet version of the form.

Design
Use this tab to model a form. See Create a form.
Actions
Lets you add actions to a form. See Form actions.
Form variables
Lets you add form variables. See Form variables.
Debug
Use this button to debug a form. See Form debugging.
Desktop
Use this option to switch between form types if they exist.

Form types include:

  • Desktop: Creates a form to access on a desktop.

  • Tablet: Creates a form to access on a tablet.

  • Phone: Creates a form to access on a phone.

If a particular type of form does not exist, switching to that option creates a blank version of the form. For example, if you switch to Phone option, and if that form does not exist, a blank version of the Phone form is created.
