All major commands are accessible via a toolbar:

 

 

When you start the Server Monitor for the first time, the toolbar will be located on top of the Monitor window, just below the menus. You can drag the toolbar handle with your mouse and move the toolbar to any position you like. This can be one of the margins of the Server Monitor, but you can also leave it floating.

If you leave the mouse over a toolbar item for a while, a tool tip help information will be displayed for that item.
