The log information level for a process (or the system as a whole) is set in one or more XLog configuration files. If the level for a process is changed, that process (or each process changed) must be restarted for the change to be effective.

The log information level can be also changed dynamically while the process is running using the XLog Configuration menu item and dialog. This is recommended only under the guidance of Kofax technical support. Normally, the log information level is set globally to a default level of Information and not changed.
