Authentication

Commands sent by the Server Monitor fall into two categories:

Requests that don’t require authentication: requests that don’t change the state of the component(s) like getting status and log information.

Requests that require authentication: requests that change the state of the component(s) like starting or stopping servers, changing the trace configuration, etc.

Authentication is always requested when the monitor is started and can be changed at any time using the menu entry …

Authorize > Login...

You will have to type in your user id and your password, then click the OK button. This data will be used for subsequent requests.

If you do not have the authorization to use the Server Monitor, you can press the Cancel button. You will still be able to monitor the status of the FraudOne installation.

If you’re away from the monitor, but want to leave it running, you can log off by selecting the menu entry

Authorize > Logoff
