New features

The following new features and enhancements are introduced in ControlSuite 1.3.0.

  • Install Assistant is updated to detect currently installed roles when upgrading to a newer ControlSuite version.
  • When on the Advanced page of the Install Assistant, an option is available to revert custom role selections made after the user has completed the questionnaire. Install Assistant will revert back to roles selected on the questionnaire.
  • Configuration Assistant is updated to present a default datacenter when configuring the first node in the Security Framework.
  • Added native Microsoft Universal Print support for both Equitrac and Output Manager for print management.
  • Renamed references of "Follow-You Printing" to "Print-to-Me."
  • Added support for using Azure SQL databases.
  • Azure Active Directory (AD) authentication is introduced globally:
    • In Configuration Assistant, an Azure AD connection can be set during installation (or later).
    • In Equitrac Web System Manager, the Azure AD authentication mode (alone or mixed with Equitrac authentication) can be set for the various frontends.
    • In Equitrac Windows Print Client, the "Prompt for Login" feature was extended to support Azure AD login.
    • The Equitrac Web Client is extended with Azure AD login.
    • In Equitrac, importing users from Azure AD is introduced.
    • The Output Manager Console is extended to support Azure AD user logins.
    • The Output Manager Manage Users feature is extended to support Azure AD users.
    • The Output Manager Import Users feature is extended to support Azure AD users.
