Known issues

This section describes issues that you may encounter while using ControlSuite and provides workarounds, as applicable.

Configuration Assistant does not assign a license in silent mode

1777140: When running Configuration Assistant in silent mode after installing AutoStore or Output Manager, the Configuration Assistant does not trigger the call to get the license, and fails to assign the license to the product.

Workaround: Run Configuration Assistant again in UI mode to assign the appropriate license.

Missing security cipher causes Output Manager upgrade to fail

1597370: ControlSuite licensing server will not properly start if the server is missing the required cipher suite.

Workaround: The ControlSuite licensing server requires security cipher TLS_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256. Please make sure the server has the proper cipher suite that includes this cipher before installing and configuring the licensing server.

  • Forcing B&W and Duplex may not work for some printer drivers.
  • Billing is not supported.
  • "Print and Save" is not supported.
  • Virtual printer names may be duplicated as Universal Print does not enforce unique naming.
