Known issues

This section describes issues that you may encounter while using Equitrac and provides workarounds, as applicable.

Title string contains missing or incorrect translations

1426131: Device Clients - The title of the application was translated incorrectly.

The term ‘Kofax Card Reader’ is used and translated incorrectly

1426152: Web System Manager - Terms related to card reader are used and translated incorrectly when discovering and editing Kofax card readers.

Cannot enable tracing if high number of DRCs exist

1501003: Web System Manager - Services cannot be loaded if the number of DRC components are high (100+). As a result, the trace settings cannot be changed on the Diagnostics screen.

Workaround: Change the trace settings locally for the components.

Single Sign On not working on Kyocera devices

1580986: SSO is not working with Equitrac and AutoStore as part of ControlSuite when authenticating at a Kyocera device.

A race condition can cause DRE to not post transactions

1587232: Printing - If tracking is enabled for both the physical device and device client level, a race condition could prevent process transactions and overload DRE.

Workaround: Ensure DRE has a stable and continuous connection with CAS at printing time. If the issue happens and DRE becomes overloaded, contact Support.

Printers with control characters in their names duplicate the related print queue and the print jobs are not tracked

1594040: Device Management - For a printer with control characters in its name, the related print queue is duplicated and the print jobs are not tracked.

Workaround: Use printers without control characters.

Force Mono rule has no effect on jobs printed with HP Universal Driver using 'HighQuality CMYK Grayscale'

1595957: Printing - The Force Mono rule has no effect for jobs printed with HP Universal Print Driver using the "HighQuality CMYK Grayscale" mode. The printer uses its color cartridge.

Workaround: Do not use the "HighQuality CMYK Grayscale" mode. Set the printer to use standard grayscale.

Updating trace settings or downloading trace files for DRC fails

1596006: Web System Manager - Updating trace settings or downloading trace files for DRC components fails on the Diagnostics screen.

Workaround: Edit the trace settings or acquire the trace files locally on the workstation computers.

An error message appears if the product does not have a license for reporting

1596020: Web Reports - If the product does not have a license for reporting, a general error message appears instead of a more meaningful one.

I-Queue is translated incorrectly to Chinese

1596301: Web System Manager - The text "Number of ports per I-Queue" is translated incorrectly to Simplified Chinese on the Follow-You Printing screen.

Chinese translations contain unusable shortcut key or trailing colon

1596307: Web System Manager - Several Chinese translations contain an unusable shortcut key or a trailing colon.

Short domain name is passed to the ShareScan Session Login form instead of FQDN

1596363: ShareScan integration - If domain qualification is not set, an additional login step is needed for the ShareScan client on the device, and single sign-on is not performed.

Workaround: Set domain qualification and a proper domain name in Equitrac.

Send To Print does not work

1597398: Web System Manager - The "Print distribution" permission group cannot be set on the Access Permissions screen, so the "Send to Printing" workstation feature is not usable.

Equitrac link points to the Nuance support portal

1598475: Windows System Manager - The Equitrac link points to the Nuance support portal.

Workaround: Open the Kofax support portal outside of the product.

IPP printing may fail to print all pages

1598484: Printing - When many jobs are released at the same time to an IPP printer, some pages are not printed.

Workaround: Release the jobs one-by-one instead of all of them at the same time.

Cashier permission group cannot be set

1598601: Web System Manager - Cashier permission group cannot be set on the Access Permissions screen, so the Cashier application is not usable.

Price values are trimmed to 2 decimal places

1598935: Web System Manager - Price values are trimmed to 2 decimal places on the Edit Price List screen.

Workaround: Enter prices with all required digits and save the price list.
