Installation notes

Before you install Device Registration Service on a Microsoft Windows 8.1, Windows 10, or Microsoft Windows 2012 R2, Windows 2016 Server machine, enable ASP.NET for Microsoft .NET 4.6.

Product Requirements

Features of this release are supported by the following versions of software:

  • AutoStore 8.0 or later
  • Equitrac 6.0 or later
  • Output Manager 5.0 or later

DRS 7.13: Upgrade Ricoh SOP 1.0 client to 1.1

The 7.13 release of Device Registration Service does not support the Ricoh 1.0 client. If you are currently using the Ricoh 1.0 client, when you install this release of Device Registration Service, you do not need to uninstall the 1.0 client and install the 1.1 client before you upgrade DRS.

To upgrade from Ricoh Smart Operation Panel 1.0 to 1.1, complete the following:

  1. Upgrade to DRS 7.12 or later. Note: It is recommended to upgrade to DRS 7.13 to access new Ricoh devices. .
  2. Uninstall the Ricoh SOP 1.0 client.
  3. Install the latest Ricoh SOP 1.1 client using DRS 7.12 or later with a Full Install action.

Also note the following:

  • Allow DRS 7.12 or later to uninstall Ricoh SOP 1.0.
  • Do not allow DRS 7.12 or later to manage or install a Ricoh SOP 1.0 environment.
  • (If available) Do not allow DRS 7.11 to manage, install, or upgrade a Ricoh SOP 1.0 environment.

DRS 7.13: Upgrade Ricoh PCC 5.0 to 5.1

To upgrade from Ricoh PCC 5.0 to 5.1, complete the following:

  1. Upgrade to DRS 7.12 or later. Note: It is recommended to upgrade to DRS 7.13 to access new models.
  2. Uninstall the Ricoh PCC 5.0 client.
  3. Install the latest Ricoh PCC 5.1 client using DRS 7.12 or later with a Full Install action.

Also note the following:

  • Allow DRS 7.12 or later to uninstall Ricoh PCC 5.0.
  • Do not allow DRS 7.12 or later to manage or install a Ricoh PCC 5.0 environment.
  • (If available) Do not allow DRS 7.11 to manage, install, or upgrade a Ricoh PCC 5.0 environment.
